In the time of Coronavirus Nov 2021

Nothing has changed, everything has changed..

Jobs are up, gasoline is way up, food costs are up; there is a brain fogged, coronavirus weary world community. Some places are still inundated with cases but there are more types of meds now; I’m not counting Ivermectin. Luckily most of the people I know have food, shelter and jobs…cars. Funny how the car dealers have no cars: chip shortage; they may not get chips till late 2023. I have a good car but it’s fifteen years old. I figure, by the time they get the chips all the cars will be electric. Seems crazy to think the industry might flip in the course of three years, while coronavirus raged on.

My nephew is tired of YouTube so he asked me to write a story based off one sentence. I’m just about ready to write it. He wrote his and it was great. I could see it as a graphic novel or even a short film.

Last year my mom painted a series of watercolors about fog. I love the creativity that is coming out of the boredom of living within a pandemic. We are mostly vaccinated, in my family and group of friends, but still hesitant to meet up. It’s weird, to see people able to get out, protected with meds and masks but still not venturing out further than the grocery store and drug store.

Today, this 70 degree November day, Daylight Savings Time day, I’m enjoying the flowers at Kauffman Gardens and I may find a new restaurant.

  1. Agreed agreed yes, yes, yes, you can always buy my car at the end of the lease. Have been struggling of late being an extrovert working from home, so will take part in creative endeavors later this week. Where is your story? Where is your nephew’s story?
